Negrar, Marano, San Pietro in Cariano, Fumane and Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella.
These are the villages that form the core of the Valpolicella Classico area which is where our heart lies. Just a few kilometres away from the Verona of Catullo and Shakespeare and blessed by the benign influence of Lake Garda, lie rolling hillsides ribboned with drystone walls that pick out the terraces on which our vines are planted. The varieties are time-honoured favourites: Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara and together they form the soul of our wines whether Valpolicella Classico and Superiore or the peerless Amarone and Recioto.

Garda

Recchia make and sell a range of wines which express the unique character of their provenance.
Bearing this principle in mind, we bought a property in the commune of Castelnuovo del Garda in 1987. The climate hereabouts benefits from the proximity of Lake Garda and growing conditions have proven ideal for the production of limited quantities of top quality Bardolino, Bardolino Chiaretto, Custoza and two Spumante Brut. These are simple but eminently drinkable wines which display great balance and moderate levels of alcohol and which are characterised by a pleasing freshness and light but tasty flavours, that make them perfect for everyday drinking.
